As you know, St. Patrick has made the decision to implement 1:30 dismissal days once a week in the following school year. We, as a sixth grade staff, fully support this decision and look forward to the opportunities this creates for our students. This allotted weekly meeting time will allow teachers to coordinate for vertical alignment (Same subject area, all grade levels) to ensure that students are not repeating content and teachers are covering all necessary standards throughout the students’ time at St. Patrick. This time also allows us to work as a team to analyze data and determine future enrichment and reinforcement opportunities. This change will ultimately help to enhance the education and experience of the students and we hope that you will join us in our excitement for this new change.
